Fellowship of the Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging
Fellowship of the Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging
About
Fellowship of the Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging is awarded after completion of a structured course run in four parts.
The first three parts are comprehensive virtual courses offered once every year: “Domain 1” , “Domain 2” and “Domain 3” didactically covering all aspects of pediatric neuroimaging.
“The SPIN In-Person Program for the 2026–2027 fellowship cycle will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, in October 2027.". The virtual and in-person courses can be attended independently but both components must be completed over 18 months to complete the fellowship cycle for consideration of the Fellowship award.
Eligibility
Please note that only Practicing Radiologists are eligible for full Fellowship.
All other participants, including those from complementary specialities, are eligible for the Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging’s Certificate of Attendance.
Learning objectives
To develop a strong foundational training in all aspects of pediatric neuroradiology as relevant to clinical practice.
To understand common adult pathologies and how they may help to better understand pediatric pathologies.
To provide standardized and accurate diagnostic reports.

Delivered on our interactive virtual platform by a dynamic faculty of internationally-renowned experts from the world’s leading children’s hospitals..
Domain 2: Tumours, Inflammation & Emergencies
Virtual
This domain focuses on key pathological and emergency conditions in pediatric neuroradiology. Sessions cover the imaging approach to pediatric brain tumours, inflammatory and demyelinating disorders, and the rapid assessment of neurological emergencies in children. Through expert-led discussions and case-based learning, participants will gain practical insights into diagnosis, differential considerations, and imaging strategies in acute and complex clinical scenarios.
Delivered on our interactive virtual platform by a dynamic faculty of internationally-renowned experts from the world’s leading children’s hospitals..
Domain 3: Vascular, Head & Neck
Virtual
This domain focuses on advanced paediatric neurovascular and head & neck imaging. Sessions cover pediatric stroke, vascular malformations such as Vein of Galen and Moyamoya, and current trends in stroke interventions. The programme also addresses head and neck infections, masses, congenital lesions, temporal bone abnormalities, cochlear implant imaging, and orbital pathologies, providing practical insights into complex pediatric imaging scenarios.

Domain Series-All 3 domains
The SPIN Fellowship is delivered through a three-part Domain Series, designed to provide comprehensive training across the full spectrum of paediatric neuroradiology. Each domain focuses on key thematic areas—from fetal and neonatal brain imaging and congenital disorders, to pediatric brain tumours, inflammatory conditions, and neurological emergencies, and finally vascular, interventional, and head and neck imaging. Together, these domains offer a structured learning pathway from foundational concepts to advanced clinical applications, led by internationally recognised experts and available live and on-demand.
